Belgium's Federal Public Service (SPF) Finance has issued a release announcing that the import of goods to fight Covid-19 is exempt from import duties and VAT until 30 June 2022. The release also notes that this exemption takes precedence over the 6% VAT rate for the import of masks and hydroalcoholic gels and the 0% VAT rate for the import of COVID-19 vaccines and medical devices for in-vitro diagnostics (testing) for COVID-19.

Note, the 6% VAT rate for supplies of masks and hydroalcoholic gels in general is being separately extended to 31 March 2022.
