ARTICLE 30

Termination

This Convention shall remain in force for an unlimited period. Either one of the Contracting States may terminate this Convention, by giving a notice of termination, in writing, through diplomatic channels at least six months before the thirtieth day of June of any calendar year from the third year following the year in which the instruments of ratification are exchanged. In case of termination before the first of July in such a year, this Convention shall apply for the last time to the following:

  • (a) with respect to taxes due at the source, on income paid or payable by the thirty-first day of December of the year in which the notice of termination is given;
  • (b) with respect to other taxes, for the taxable period beginning or ending on or after the thirty-first day of December the same year.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, duly authorized to that effect, have signed this Convention.
