ARTICLE 17

Artists and Athletes

(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 14 and 15, income derived by public entertainers, such as theatre, motion picture, radio or television artists, and musicians, and by athletes, from their personal activities as such may be taxed in the Contracting State in which these activities are exercised.

(2) Where the services of a public entertainer or an athlete are provided in a Contracting State by an enterprise of the other Contracting State, the income derived from providing those services by such enterprise may, notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 7, 14 and 15, be taxed in the Contracting State in which the activities of the artist or athlete are exercised.
