The Republic of Croatia is a country located in Central Europe and Southeastern Europe on the Adriatic Sea. Neighboring countries include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia.

Croatia has a mixed economic system in which the economy includes a variety of private freedom, combined with centralized economic planning and government regulation. The services sector is main sector of the economy, followed by industries such as shipbuilding, food processing, pharmaceuticals, information technology, and agriculture.

Although the business climate is not favorable for foreign investment, the government is working to improve the situation by removing non-tax fees on business, streamlining government agencies, and identifying and removing other barriers to foreign investment.
