10.2. Financing Regimes

No specific financing regime exists under Estonian tax law. It must be noted, however, that under the Estonian tax system any income received by resident companies (or permanent establishments of non-residents companies), whether active or passive (including interest), is effectively tax exempt as long as the profits are not distributed to the shareholders. There are no thin capitalization rules, nor  is there  withholding tax  on  interest in Estonia.
