Companies Act provides requirements for registration of a domestic company as well as branch of a foreign company. The procedure is similar in both cases, however, documents required for registering a foreign branch are slightly different.
Key steps to be followed for registering a company are:
- Submit the application for name approval to registrar of companies
- Submit incorporation documents and pay prescribed registration fees
- Thereafter, the registrar issues certificate of incorporation
- Post registration, share certificates are stamped at Ministry of Finance and the company can obtain a company seal
