Jan van Daele completed his Master in Law (honors) at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium focusing on commercial and tax law. In 2010 he obtained his Adv. LLM in International Tax Law (honors) at the International Tax Center, Leiden University, the Netherlands where he was awarded both the Malcolm Gammie and IBFD awards for the best paper. The paper dealt with residence of companies and cross-border mobility of companies within the EU and was published in European Taxation (May 2011 Issue). He was Teaching Assistant at the International Tax Center and worked as a Tax Advisor for Loyens & Loeff, Amsterdam office after which he established his private tax practice focusing on Belgium and Central Europe.
