The European Commission has issued a call for evidence inviting stakeholders to provide input on refining Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) rules for emission calculation, free allocation adjustments, and recognition of carbon pricing in third countries. The CBAM will apply in its definitive regime from 2026, following a transitional phase from 2023 to 2025.
