Uzbekistan has published Decree No. UP-21 of 10 February 2023, which contains various measures. One of the main measures set the size-based criteria/categories for businesses as follows:
Small businesses:
individual entrepreneurs;
micro firms - business entities, the founders (participants) of which are individuals, with a total income of up to UZS 1 billion during the calendar year;
small enterprises - business entities with a total income of UZS 1 billion to UZS 10 billion during the calendar year, as well as micro firms, the founders (participants) of which are legal entities;
Medium-sized businesses - business entities with a total income of UZS 10 billion to UZS 100 billion during the calendar year;
Large business entities - business entities with a total income of UZS 100 billion or more during the calendar year.
Decree No. UP-21 entered into force on 10 February 2023.
