Netherlands Extends One-Off Payment Break for Corona Tax Debts to 6 Months — Orbitax Tax News & Alerts

The Netherlands has extended the option for a one-off payment break (pause) for the repayment of deferred "corona" tax debts from up to 3 months to up to 6 months. As previously reported, the Netherlands published Decree no. 2022-219271 in the Official Gazette on 19 September to implement extended payment terms for the repayment of deferred tax debts from 1 October 2022, which included the option for a one-off payment break (pause) of up to a maximum of 3 monthly installments or 1 quarterly installment. On 22 September 2022, the Dutch House of Representatives passed a motion requesting an extension of the one-off payment break to 6 months, which has been confirmed in a letter from the State Secretary for Finance, Taxation and Tax Administration.
