The Italian Revenue Agency has updated its webpage regarding collections during the COVID-19 period, including a notice from the Ministry of Economy and Finance that the suspension of collection agent activities will be extended to 31 May 2021. The suspension was first provided in March 2020 in response to the pandemic and was most recently extended to 30 April 2021 as part of Decree Law No. 41 of 22 March 2021. The suspension concerns all payments deriving from payment notices, debit notices, and executive assessment notices entrusted to collection agents, as well as certain other Agency activities including the initiation of precautionary or executive collection procedures.
