According to recent reports, issues remain between the European Parliament and the European Council on the implementation of Public CbC reporting during recent a meeting that also included the European Commission. Outstanding issues include:
- Aggregation of data, which the Council supports for all non-EU countries, while the Parliament wants data disaggregated for all countries;
- Reporting of turnover, which the Parliament wants separation for net turnover and turnover with related parties; and
- The particulars of a safeguard clause for information MNE group do not want to be made public.
The three sides are scheduled to meet on 23 April 2021 for further discussions on the introduction of Public CbC reporting and the above issues in particular.
