The Guernsey government has announced an extension of the deadline for 2021 income tax returns to 7 March 2023 and has set a 28 February 2024 deadline for 2022 returns. Note that the standard deadline for returns is 30 November following the calendar year in which the accounting year ends but the deadline has been extended in recent years.

Deadline for 2021 tax returns extended to 7 March 2023

The Revenue Service is extending the deadline for 2021 personal and company tax returns by a week, to Tuesday 7 March 2023.
The Service is conscious that at the end of last year and again this month there had been periods where gov.gg was not available, during which online returns could not be submitted. Therefore the deadline is being extended to ensure everyone has sufficient time to be able to complete their returns.
On the 8 March 2023, once the deadline has passed for 2021 returns, 2022 returns will be available for filing. The deadline for 2022 returns will be 28 February 2024.
