As part of the new Bank of Greece Governor’s Act, which was published 21 June 2019, a new financial statement disclosure requirement is introduced for legal entities in the non-financial sector. This includes that legal entities that are obligated to publish their annual financial statements with the General Commercial Registry, must now also submit their financial statement to the Bank of Greece. This applies for entities in the form of a société anonyme, a limited liability company, a limited partnership by shares, or a private company. Initial submissions must be made in November 2019, including financial statements covering 2016, 2017, and 2018, with entities subject to penalties if failing to comply.
