According to a release from Estonia President Kersti Kaljulaid, a meeting was held with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on 9 September 2021 to discuss bilateral cooperation. Among other things, President Kaljulaid highlighted the need for Estonia and Kenya to enter into an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
