The Egyptian Tax Authority has issued a reminder noting that the last date for companies to join the electronic invoice system without risk of legal action is 15 September 2021. After this date, legal action will be initiated against companies that are required to join the system but fail to do so. It is also noted for companies that fail to fulfill the registration requirement, dealings with all state agencies, bodies, and companies (at least 50% state-owned), and the disbursement of export subsidies will be suspended with effect from 1 October 2021.
