On 11 May 2022, the Czech Senate approved the bills for the ratification of the pending social security agreements with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, and Mongolia (reapproved under new government).
The agreement with Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed 18 May 2021, will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1957 agreement between the former Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia as it applies in respect of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic.
The agreement with Brazil, signed 9 December 2020, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
The agreement with Mongolia, signed 20 May 2019, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
