On 24 February 2021, Brazil's Senate (upper chamber of the National Congress) approved the ratification of the pending:

• Income tax treaty with Singapore, signed 7 May 2018;
• Income tax treaty with Switzerland, signed 3 May 2018; and
• Income tax treaty with the United Arab Emirates, signed 12 November 2018.

The treaties were approved by the Chamber of Deputies (lower chamber of the National Congress) on 5 March 2020. The treaties are all the first of their kind between Brazil and the respective countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will generally apply from 1 January of the year following their entry into force.
