The Finance and Economic Affairs Committee of the Bahrain Council of Representatives reportedly approved the pending protocol to the 2005 income tax treaty with Pakistan on 10 February 2020. The protocol, signed 9 April 2019, is the first to amend the treaty and will enter into force and generally apply once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
