The Government of Armenia has published a message from the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Chairman concerning taxation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The release mainly concerns continued tax compliance during the pandemic. It is also noted that the SRC is willing to provide support, within its discretionary power, for taxpayers that accurately declare their tax liabilities, by granting them installments for payment of liabilities, by not applying proceedings of levying and seizure, as well as other tools prescribed by law.
Separately, a release has been issued on a customs duty exemption for certain critical imported goods. This includes a number of agricultural and food products, in particular potatoes, onions, garlic, cabbage, carrots, peppers, annuals, rice, buckwheat, juices and baby food, as well as some medicines and medical supplies. The release also notes customs duty exemption for personal protective equipment, disinfectants, and other medical equipment and goods.
