Argentina Removes Cap on Additional Export Duty — Orbitax Tax News & Alerts

Argentina has published Decree 37/2019 of 14 December 2019 in the Official Gazette, which is effective from that date and removes the cap of 4 pesos per U.S. dollar of the taxable value of the FOB price on exports in relation to the additional 12% duty on the export of goods that was introduced by Decree 793/2018.  Decree 37/2019 also replaces Annex 1 of Decree 793/2018 and introduces a new Annex 2 including goods subject to an additional 9% duty.  According to the introduction to Decree 37/2019, these changes are needed to fund budget gaps.
