Argentina Eliminating Tax on Exported Services — Orbitax Tax News & Alerts

Argentina's Ministry of Economy has issued a release announcing that the government is eliminating the tax on exported services from 2022. The tax was introduced by Decree 1201/2018 at a rate of 12% on services provided in Argentina and used or effectively exploited outside Argentina and was subsequently reduced to 5% with an exemption provided as part of the Regime for the Promotion of the Knowledge Economy. According to the release, the tax on exported services will be completely eliminated in 2022 with the aim of promoting the creation of quality employment, generating foreign exchange, and correcting a measure that was hurting the services sector.
