Angola's New VAT Regime Delayed to October 2019 — Orbitax Tax News & Alerts

The Angolan government has reportedly agreed to a delay in the implementation of the countries new VAT regime to October 2019, although there were calls for a further delay to January 2020. The new regime, which includes a standard 14% rate, was initially to be implemented on 1 July 2019 for large taxpayers and the import of goods, with a transition to a full implementation from 1 January 2021 ({News-2019-02-28/A/2-previous coverage}). The regime is to now be implemented from 1 October 2019 for taxpayers with annual turnover exceeding AOA 15 million.
