On 1 November 2007, the Accession Convention for the 10 new EU Member States will enter into force for Austria. A notification was deposited with the Council by Austria on 1 August 2007.

The Accession Convention for the 10 new EU Member States is to be ratified by all of the EU Member States. The instruments of ratification must be deposited with the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union. The Accession Convention enters into force amongst the EU Member States that have ratified, accepted or approved it on the first day of the third month following the deposit of the last instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval by these EU Member States.
